Regional Profiles
The Regional Profiles series provides data and information on the demographic, labour market and education and training characteristics of 12 regions across South Australia.
These regional profiles are structured around the 12 uniform state government regions covering the Adelaide Metropolitan area, Greater Adelaide area, and country regions.
The profiles also include coverage of the 17 Employment and Skills Formation Network regions to provide initial baseline information for their planning purposes. As such, information on each region also includes its Employment and Skill Formation Strategic Plan for 2009 to 2012 (as part of the South Australia Works initiative).
The profiles cover common elements drawn from a range of sources and do not purport to provide a complete picture of all matters that may be of interest to users. In addition, most data for South Australia's regions are collected in a consistent way as part of the census conducted every five years. For this reason, some tables in the profile will not reflect current circumstances in the region. Users are urged to supplement the information in these profiles with other more recent information available. This is especially important as the time from the last census increases.
